Entry #5: Mayhem Bear
Mayhem Bear
The Allstate commercial " Mayhem Bear" uses rhetorical examples in numerous ways. Firstly the man comes out of the bushes saying he's a bear that came out of hibernation. Then he persist to break inside the car and shuffle a few things around. When he gets out of the car he breaks the mirror and says "Car insurance might not pay for all this, so get Allstate".
The rhetoric of this commercial comes in two forms. Firstly he compares himself to a bear breaking into a car. Secondly, an actual person will break into your car and take your personal belongings. Allstate accomplished its goal by catering to an audience that lives in a bear-stricken zone or an area that is close to wildlife. Allstate often gives way to situations that are exaggerated but this is key to why Allstate commercials are doing better than its opponents. Mayhem Bear
I used the same video for my blog! such a cute and funny way to promote the car insurance
